Este próximo mes de noviembre, desde 2º de EP contribuiremos al panel de la igualdad del cole conociendo los logros de 6 atletas españoles que rompen estereotipos y fomentan la idea entre los jóvenes de que, a pesar de las dificultades, si nos esforzamos "todos podemos".

DENNIS GONZÁLEZ - (NATACIÓN ARTÍSTICA)
AITANA BONMATÍ - (FÚTBOL)
Aitana Bonmatí es una gran futbolista del Fútbol Club Barcelona y de la selección española. Desde pequeña amaba jugar al fútbol y no dejó que nadie le dijera que era “solo para chicos”. Ha ganado muchos títulos, como la Copa del Mundo con España en 2023, y el Balón de Oro, que premia a la mejor jugadora del mundo. Aitana destaca por su esfuerzo, su inteligencia en el campo y su espíritu de equipo. Es un ejemplo de igualdad y demuestra que con trabajo y pasión se puede llegar muy lejos.

The next month (November), the 2nd grade students will contribute to our school’s Equality Panel by learning about six Spanish athletes who break stereotypes and show young people that, even when things are difficult, if we work hard, “we can all do it.”

🩱 Dennis González – (Artistic Swimming)
Dennis González is a young Spanish swimmer who has made history in artistic swimming. Since he was little, he loved the water and dreamed of competing in big championships. In 2023, he won the first world medal for Spain in the men’s category, something that had never happened before. Dennis shows that sports have no gender and that boys can also shine in artistic swimming. With his effort, discipline, and joy, he inspires many children to follow their dreams, no matter what others say.
⚽ Aitana Bonmatí – Football (Soccer)
Aitana Bonmatí is a great football player for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team. Since she was a girl, she loved playing football and never let anyone tell her it was “only for boys.” She has won many titles, like the World Cup with Spain in 2023, and the Ballon d’Or, given to the best player in the world. Aitana stands out for her effort, intelligence on the field, and team spirit. She is an example of equality and shows that with hard work and passion, you can go very far.
🏃♂️ Álex Roca – (Triathlon and Marathon)
Álex Roca is an amazing athlete. When he was a baby, he had an illness that caused a motor disability in part of his body, but that never stopped him. With effort and joy, he has completed several triathlons and marathons, including the Barcelona Marathon, becoming the first athlete with a 76% disability to finish it. Álex uses his story to motivate others, reminding everyone that limits are in the mind. His motto is “the limit is up to you,” and he proves every day that with willpower, anything is possible.
🥋 Sandra Sánchez – (Karate)
Sandra Sánchez is one of the best karate athletes in the world. She started practicing karate when she was a child and never gave up. Thanks to her hard work, she became world champion and Olympic champion in Tokyo 2020. She is known for her smile, her energy, and her kindness. Sandra has shown that strength can go together with respect and sweetness. She is an example for all children who do sports: with effort, discipline, and passion, you can reach your biggest dreams.
🤸♂️ Pau García – (Artistic skating)
Pau García is a young artistic skater who shines on wheels. Since he was little, he fell in love with skating and trained with great dedication. In just a few years, he was competing with the best in the world. He has won several world championships, showing elegance and talent. Pau combines strength, art, and emotion in every performance. He shows that skating is not only for girls or boys, but for anyone who loves to move and express themselves. His effort inspires many young people to follow their passions without fear.
🏋️♀️ Lydia Valentín – (Weightlifting)
Lydia Valentín is a very strong and brave Bercian athlete. She practices weightlifting, a sport where you lift very heavy weights. She has won Olympic and world medals and is one of the greatest athletes in Spain’s history. Since she was little, she trained hard in her hometown, Ponferrada, and never gave up. Lydia has shown that strength has no gender and that girls can be powerful too. Her smile and effort inspire everyone to fight for what they love.
