 Queridos amiguitos del colegio Santa Bárbara.  Por este año me despido de vosotros. Aunque mi visita ha sido breve, he disfrutado muchísimo viendo todo lo que habéis trabajado para hacer de ésta, una semana tan especial.

El cole está espectacular y ya tengo sitio en primera plana para ver las actuaciones tan chulas que habéis preparado.

Nos vemos el próximo diciembre.

Os quiero mucho.

GAME 3) Middle Fields (eTwinning project)

 

GAME 3: Middle Fields 

MATERIALS

• One soft ball,

• A large rectangular playing field, divided in two half.

RULES

1. Divide the players into two groups:

   • Two throwers, each one stands at each end of the field..

   • The remaining players stay in the center—these are the runners.

2. Goal:
   The runners must cross the field from one side to the other without being hit by the ball.

3. How the game works:

   • The team at one end throws the ball toward the runners trying to gently hit them below the head.

   • If a runner is hit, they immediately join the team that hit them, becoming a thrower as well.

   • The two throwing teams alternate turns or throw whenever they recover the ball.

4. Rules:

   • They can stop, dodge, change direction, or run back to avoid being hit.

   • The runners located in the middle field must avoid the ball to stay safe.

   • The game ends when all runners have been eliminated, meaning all players have joined one of the throwing teams. The last runner who survives is celebrated as the winner.

Cultural meaning:
This traditional game, known in León, Asturias and Galicia as Campos Medios  or Los Campos, was very common in schoolyards and village squares. It teaches teamwork, strategy, and fair play while reflecting how rural children used to invent fun games with minimal material

JUEGO 3: Campos Medios

MATERIALES
Una pelota blanda/ de espuma.
Un campo de juego grande y rectangular, dividido en dos mitades.

REGLAS
Divide a los jugadores en dos grupos:

Dos lanzadores, uno situado en cada extremo del campo.

Los demás jugadores permanecen en el centro: estos son los corredores.

Objetivo:
Los corredores deben cruzar el campo de un lado a otro sin ser golpeados por la pelota.

Cómo se juega:

El equipo situado en uno de los extremos lanza la pelota hacia los corredores, intentando golpearlos suavemente por debajo de la cabeza.

Si un corredor es golpeado, se une inmediatamente al equipo que lo ha golpeado, convirtiéndose también en lanzador.

Los dos equipos de lanzadores se alternan los turnos o lanzan cuando recuperan la pelota.

Normas:

Pueden detenerse, esquivar, cambiar de dirección o retroceder para evitar ser golpeados.

Los corredores situados en el campo central deben evitar la pelota para mantenerse a salvo.

El juego termina cuando todos los corredores han sido eliminados, es decir, cuando todos los jugadores se han unido a alguno de los equipos de lanzadores. El último corredor que sobrevive es celebrado como el ganador.

Significado cultural:
Este juego tradicional, conocido en León, Asturias y Galicia como Campos Medios o Los Campos, era muy común en los patios de las escuelas y en las plazas de los pueblos. Enseña trabajo en equipo, estrategia y juego limpio, y refleja cómo los niños del medio rural solían inventar juegos divertidos con muy poco material.
